technology always makes life easier to live simple as that. If you want your life to be more comfortable and easier to adapt to then you should support technology. I personally love technology and its advancement through history.

Remove technology alone lets talk about their society if you didint have the same religion you would have been killed, a different race killed, by the age 16 you hit middle age, stds was extremly common, god was law, king was law, man was law, males was law, dad was law, slaves, common "justified genocides" no medicine except for alcohol and herbs (just pour and rub), really bad prostitutes, marriage with pretty much children.....

It would be worse. It also matters what you consider technology. Medieval times still used tools to make homes and buildings, not mention medicine would be reduced down to basic herbs, which would lead to people dying from plagues.
