Is Lee now #1 Taijutsu?

I am hoping that he might end up supporting Gai with 7th Gate. Lee does deserve an upgrade at this point. It's almost offensive that Neji got killed and he's also side-lined. I actually like Lee.

Kishi didn't do too badly with Neji's death, he used the same kind of imagery and concepts as he did in Neji's fight against Naruto back in the Chuunin Exams arc. I think FT made a really good thread regarding those concepts and imagery.

That'd be some good teacher/student team-up, although Lee's already seen 7 Gates didn't do much good against Madara. I want 8G Gai to weaken Madara enough to the point where a pseudo Juubi host Naruto, Rinnegan Sasuke and 7G Lee won't be overpowered by Madara. If Gai doesn't end up weakening or hurting Madara, I won't forgive Kishi. He's already made a mistake by naming that final technique Night Elephant imo.

^ I agree, it was a lame name. A Dragon-esque name would have suited his gates, given the peacock and Tiger techs.
