Women probably retire after having kids or something but since she's pretty much considered a widow, it makes you wonder how she's going to support herself and the baby

Nope she's suffered a fate worse than Yamato's death by zetsu. She got knocked up and barely got any screen time to boot at that. Her best moment came in a filler during part 1. Kishi missed a chance there with her. She kept up with Itachi's base level sharrigan genjutsu and Sakura had a natural talent for it. The whole basis of this story is the next gen passes the previous, Kishi could'a had something between the two.
