Is Konan overated?

I say yes because Konan's big appearence when was she fought Obito.

She really did well and I agree with that. But why?

Because she prepareted a long time ago, she knew Obito was coming.

Even with all the preparations she died in the battle.

Also Obito in that time was weaker than some people. Keep in mind its not the same Obito right now.


Maybe if she got a sharingan or a rinnegan she would get better?

She's vastly underrated. She's impervious to physical attacks and most elemental attacks, as well as having versatility only matched by Gaara and Hashirama, and the ability to make herself into a weapon on par with Sasori's puppet body.

Assuming she is ~30 years old, even if she started making them the day she was born, she would have had to make 54,794,520.5 per day every day for her entire life.

She was clearly holding back against everyone she'd ever fought if she was able to make this many in around 10 years time.

i'm quite the kind of smart guy, so i'd set several traps so it would be virtually impossible for him to win.

i belive konan failed because she had thrown all the paper bombs at the same time, she should have "saved" some.

if i was konan, i'd have created a puzzle, i'd create a trap that would trigger upon one trap's failure... and would cycle that.

with preparation anyone can be beat

You forget that, obito could easily genjutsu or impale you with mokuton.right?

Konan almost won was due to location advantage....
