Is konan fodder

she has shown no feats in taijustu , hand seal , speed , genjsutu or strength/stamina . Is she highly overrated , initially would place konan as kage level but the fact she is a one trick pony and only uses paper techniques makes me think she isnt . As jiraya easily defeated her and it looked like you didnt have any other skill set . For naruto before sage mode , she would be difficult for naruto to beat as he doesnt have a wide arsenal but for ninjas like kakashi , oro , kisame,sasuke , itachi , mei , darui and jiraya who know water techniques and have a decent arsenal konan seems like she would be fodderised . Where do you place konan with no preparation . btw konan is one of my favourite so this no disrespect to a great character and best female character in the show .

I always asked myself, why people said that. I tend to think that it's her looks. She honestly hasn't much of a personality. She just follows Nagato and does what he wants. But maybe someone can explain it to me?

OT: She isn't really all that strong. Everyone mentions the Obito fight, but that was with prep and she still lost.

Konan is one of those characters that needs preparation so she might be at fodder level without preparation. Jiraiya defeated her with his Oil Bullet Jutsu and then with so much prep she broke half of Tobi's mask so she needs prep to accomplish all of her goals.

Whoever placed Konan on kage level is just overhyping her, Konan is anbu level at best. Her paper is destructive enough for assassination like missions that the anbu's covert. But she's no push over either. Anbu level for me

Fail you named all those shinobi and water jutsu to be a weakness of hers but water jutsu's aren't a weakness of hers, if she really is one of your favorites then you would know that...

At that time kakashi, sasuke, darui, couldn't have beat her, remember she did beat Sasori and forced him to join akatsuki who is above those 3 at that point in time and who is kage level ...also Mei would melt her with lava of its in a concealed room but if not konan can fly and stay out of range and pick her off with her paper shuriken, oro of course he could beat her we all suspect but how would he do so???, jiraiya already bested her with his oil before her got wrecked by the pains so we know he can beat her and what's understood doesn't have to be explained about Itachi....he's da shit

First off oil is her weakness and jiraya knew that he trained her so he already had Intel.... Secondly, she beats several konoha shinobi including I think it was either shino and his people or kiba and his mom and another from his clan who couldn't beat her...she broke half of his mask... Really dude llab at you she killed him and he rewrote his that reality of his by using izanagi in exchange for his right eye so clearly she did more than break half of his mask if not for izanagi the war wouldn't have started...

your underestimating kakashi and hebi sasuke there alot stronger sasori and mei at the start of shippudden . and mean ninjas like kakashi , sasuke , darui have a wide arsenal to immobilize konan paper techniques .

Konan is one of favourite always will be . yeah oil stopped konan , but thinking fire and water might have the same effect . not trying to say konan is not kage level but she cant escape mangafacts and konan hasnt shown other justu besides paper

She almost defeated Obito,which is a great feat. Although she did have prep time, it shows that she can analyze anyone and prepare for the outcome. She's like the batman of Akatsuki

She is the only female to date that can push Tobi so far that he has to sacrifice an eye to live against her when she had prep time. She is just one of the characters who require prep time in order for her true power to bloom, just like Shikamaru, or any Nara for that matter.

Deidara has shown no other Jutsu besides Explosive Clay yet nobody doubts that he is kage level
