I guess spending so many years and time for a Manga was too much for him. That's why we got the second party with all the things we hated.

Are we sure this wasn't just tongue in cheek lost in the language barrier or poor quotation? Like when people took him saying a couple years ago that he wouldn't be back at Jump Festa as a serious statement? He stated a few weeks before that that he didn't like the Byakugan's design as it made it difficult for him to convey character emotions and made all the Hyuga characters look really similar, that probably has more to do with it than him forgetting.

Then he states that he forgot to draw the Byakugan on Naruto/Hinata's kids. If he honestly did not draw the blood patch, would anyone really bring it up? It was only such a small detail in the events happening in the story during their fight, I doubt it took a second to remember it. We know this guy ain't dumb. I think he does some things on purpose. Idk what for though, but I smell asspulls.

As for kids not having bayakugan- It's hard to believe that he forgot to draw it. Seeing that it's not like no one in his team or editors or in anime team would notice and point it out before releasing the new stuff. He probably wanted to avoid too OP kids. Especially in this early stage.

That are some good idea and will lead to different ďevelopment of Byakugan.

At the end of the day if Kishi wants to give Bolt and Himawari Byakugan hell do it via asspull or recton but whatever its nothing new.

He should do them, like he did Sasuke...

You can call it an asspull but there's never been a half Hyuga or half Uchiha in the manga before.

I don't think he forgot, the War Arc was rushed and the editors didn't give him enough time to plan the ending. But it could be that Kishi might continue the series after a really long break/hiatus considering the amount of obvious plot holes he left.

And he could always give the kids a hybrid version of the Byakugan, it could be why he purposefully gave them a lavender eye colour.

Not exactly. I am not interested in making any particular speculation about it. As a writer Kishi can take in in any direction. But bayakugan is not something you awaken as far as I know. Not yet.

Naruto's kid if shown with bayakugan would look more Hyuga than Uzumaki. Hyugas were never focal point of story. Making Naruto's family look like an extension of Hyuga family at this juncture wouldn't not sit well with many. Another Hinata /Neji copy would not be that interesting either if Kishi wants to extend the series in some way. It definitely gives more chances to Kishi if he feels like elaborating. So it works for him better this way.
