I get the doubt because of so many name's taken from buddhism.

1)''CHAKRA'' was actually from hindu yoga belief system which later went into buddhism etc.i think kishi got the idea of chakra from buddhism and styled it in his own way for his manga.
2)The name's of Six paths of pain are Six Buddhist's paths of reincarnation.
3)The "Buddha" styled wood release technique
4)Rikudo sage said something like ''body dies, chakra lives on'' comparing it to reincarnation=''body dies, soul lives on''
5)the name's of rikudo's children ''indra'' and ''ashura'',idk about buddhist version but in the hindu version indra was the king of ''deva's'' meaning King of gods and asura meant ''demon''.In the mythology deva's and asura's were always....ALways fighting.

This really was Too much knowlegde for a non-buddhist to have since most ppl think buddism is mostly meditation and being calm.i nvr really care about other ppl's religion but so many references has got me curious, well do you think he is a buddhist?O_O

Kishimoto has never stated his religious views.

1. There is no reason for him to do so as it is unrelated to his work.
2. If he does, people who don't like it will stopped following his series so he loses money.
3. Most mangaka like to keep their personal information...personal. Dattebayo!

It's no longer uncommon to use religion or religious based artifacts in manga, for example Excalibur, Durandal, Demons, Alchemy, Angels and whatnot, they're a lot of manga like that out there

obviously he was inspired by shinto buddhism since it's the most popular religion in japan. but i'm not sure if he actully practice it or not.

if you notice there are also a lot of biblical inspirations in naruto as well, like uchiha and senju as ishmael and isaac or cain and abel, and the fruit of the ten tail's tree which is inspired by the tree of knowledge and the sacred fruit from genesis.

kishimoto also used some westren references as inspiration, the hokage monument is clearly inspired by mount rushmore with american president's heads carved on a mountain and the valley of the end with statues of hashirama and madara was inspired by the valley of the kings (also called argonath) in the lord of the rings.

that's the great thing about kishimoto, he likes all sorts of stuff. i read an interview with him where he said his two favourite movies were Akira and 500 days of summer.

Asura is primarily based off Hinduism as it's depicted in most Hindu gods. I'm pretty sure Hinduism is older than Buddhism, so most of the stuff on your list is Hinduism based.
