I do enjoy Naruto, but the women only feel like objects or stereotyped. None of the females actually put up a fight with the men, such as Naruto Vs Pein.. Hinata was beaten with little to no effort.

Also, Ino's dream was about two guys fighting over her.

Probably. It's much easier to depict men as fighters because its conventional. Depicting a women as a fighter is cool, and I don't have anything against it, but it's harder to make it believable.

I don't think he's sexist, or Kaguya wouldn't be the strongest character in what's possibly the most important thing in his life excluding family. Also that chick from the Mario one shot was pretty sick so I don't think Kishimoto is incapable of making a good female character. I think he just f'd up on Naruto's females back when he was bad at making female characters and now it's too late to fix it

Japanese culture and views on women are different than American or European one's.

If you haven't noticed, in most anime and manga, the females are either damsels or have over exaggerated features.

It's just a culture that we're not used to and we immediately call it sexist. They don't feel that way.

Yes Mei is done well for so little time . Anko could have done more with Sasuke considering or the sound 5 , Orochimaru's pupils or Kabuto being who she is with her affiliation and all. Temari has been great , but pushed to the side. Kushina could have been shown more I think she had potential to have more in the past events , but wasn't written for so its no fault of hers'. Ten Ten is doing things in the war , but could've had more to do with being a kunoichi and surpassing her heroes or following her dreams as she was introduced earlier. Ino could've done SOMETHING in the Kakuzu & Hidan fight.. -.- KISHI's fault.

ot: Leave Ino's dream out of this . He was obviously going for comedy in most of the dreams featured.
Also her father died , before death he spoke to her about "being in love" and her dream depicts her being happy and her father being proud of her receiving "love" interests of two guys she had crushes on & 1 of whom she was considered to "love".
