coz if u think bout it, her part 1 character and weakness in battle were hated by fans so kishi drastically changed her in shippuden by giving her an overhaul and adding feats of strength to use in battle, even gave her huge screentime in her fight with Sasori, but after that she hasnt done anything very significant, and the fanbase still hated her for her crimes in part 1, so I think Kishi just let her slipped into obscurity while giving Hinata pivotal moments to solidify her relationship with Naruto, what do you think?

Well i think he does because of Naruto merchandise sales, having a hated character in a series can lower market sales of merchandise and naruto related items

It's even possible Kishi himself hates Sakura as a character so he thought "why not troll her" lol.

On a serious note, it does make sense and it could have played a hand in his final decision on the matter, but I personally think he may have always intended to go down the NaruHina path.

I think Kishi was testing the waters when he tried to ignite NaruHina during the Pain arc and only solidified it now

Honestly, I think Hinata was intended to be developed further at a later date. Among all the female characters, she has one of the most developed portrayals of her family life and childhood. Her interactions with Naruto are also quite iconic (even in Part I) and seem to hint at Hinata's character making considerable advances in the future.

Hinata really seems to have been planned to develop from the beginning. Sakura... I'm not really sure what Kishimoto is doing with her.

Kishi makes the characters it's the people that decide if they hate those characters or not

nope i think kishi wanted naruto and hinata together when he first started this manga. i doubt that he even considered narusaku.
i guess that in this manga he has many motives of friend-zoning (obito-rin etc...) so he made this one as well from the beginning between the main character\naruto and the main idiot of this manga\sakura.

--------------------------------------------------

and about people hating sakura......i think he only gets info about the japanese fans....and i think that they don't hate sakura,...so then again no, he didn't change the pairing because of hate.

Ofc he is aware of the Sakura hate I doubt that he lives inside a box when it comes to his own manga. Somethings even tells me that he has a account on this forum and are stalking us.

He would be a poor writer if he let the fans write it for him. He has placed many moments that he could build on to make Naruto and Hinata in a relationship so it was just writing it as he wanted it

NaruHina fandom asked for Hinata's wish granted- standing next to Naruto and holding his hand.
Kishi did it. I don't see him going any further, because thats all that Hinata wants. NaruHina isn't canon, nor is anything else.
Holding hands? Yeah, totally canon. Anyway, he isn't very good with Sakura's development, but I'm sure it will come just like any other character. Hinata has enough development, since her goal to stand next to Naruto holding his hand was fuflilled.

Yes, but you see, in Japan Sakura is not hated. He was indeed intrigued by some western Hinata fans/NH fans who sent him some letters threatening him that they'll kill him if they doesn't do NH cannon and makes Hinata more important and his response was "You always say Hinata, Hinata. I say she's not Hinata!!"

And the thing with Hinata now, in recent chapters, it's just closing character development as well as, being the first one who has her 'dreams' accomplished. She was first, Sakura is going to be last.
Look at 573 (Pathway towards Radiance) and their order.

I doubt he makes plans based on what fans want. I wouldn't. You can never satisfy everyone at the same time so he better just writes what he wants.

Kishi plans and puts into practice expansion of character throughout his manga, if you think he made such a huge conversion of character like you suggest without knowing, you're wrong

I would infer that even in Japan, Sakura is RELATIVELY disliked. My inference is based on the Japanese popularity polls released with manga chapters (with the assumption that these polls are a good statistical sample of the fandom population so that statistical inference is valid) found here

Notice that Sakuras zenith in popularity is right at the beginning where only the main characters (Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi aside from her) have the spotlight and supporting characters are just introduced (consider also the fact that Sakura in the beginning is introduced as a superficial Sasuke fangirl). Now as the manga progressed, notice the trend that
1. Sakuras popularity declined, never again to reach top 5 status
2. The other main characters (Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi) popularity only fluctuated in the top 5 position but did not decline
3. Characters who got very little panel time in comparison to Sakura started to overtake her

The inescapable conclusion from this is that Sakura, unlike the other main characters, failed to garner positive reception from the general fanbase. Hinata (the only female character to surpass Sakura on several polls) in my opinion is a one dimensional fodder character, that she surpassed Sakura on popularity on several occasions does imply a lack of positive reception of Sakura in the fan population in Japan.

Your claim that western fans sent death threats is ridiculous to put it VERY mildly, care to even attempt to corroborate it?

Well, I see from where you make your reference. Mine was from different forums with people having contact with Japanese friends, as well a personal friend of mine who lived in Japan for three years. Sakura there isn't disliked. If they like a character, it's not at the cost of another one, like the majority of western fans. And this can be applied to other characters as well. In western fans 'culture' people like X because it's stronger than Y. Japanese fans like X because he symbolizes something to them. As Sakura for them there is the symbolism of Japanese beauty.

And at the character popularity there, if you look at the last one, Sakura is above Hinata. As well, look closely who holds some of them. English Shonen Jump being an example, meaning, western fanbase.

See, that's the thing. The reception is different. Japanese trandition and culture is different from the western one.

As for the western fans sending death threats, can be false or true. This claim was after Hinata's confession in Pein Arc, where her popularity just went uphill and afterwards, we all know that Naruto didn't pay her any attention, whereas Kishi developed the story towards Naruto and Sakura's relationship. That's from where it came. You can find this info on many other forums. And should it surprise you? To me, it's not. Just look at the general behavior of Hinata's fandom. They're all agressive towards not only Sakura for having a close relationship with Naruto, but also on another ship fans such as NaruSasu. I know it's an yaoi pairing, however, this is common to some parts of the world.
Don't know your experience with the Hinata fandom, however, considering my experience with them, I could see this as being true.
That's why I keep a low profile when I say I'm also a Hinata fan. :| But that's just me.
