Is killer b dead

I'm not sure it this theory has been posted yet or not and if it has credit to whoever originally posted it.
Is Killer B really dead or did he switch places with the severed tentacle again like in his battle with Sasuke? How long do we have to wait for this question to be answered by events in the manga?

There was a quick flashback to his battle with Sasuke right before Madara took all of the tailed beasts. This was likely a hint that he used a replacement technique to escape the battle.

However, there isn't really an explanation as to why he hasn't come back yet. This battle is fairly significant, and the Alliance could probably really use Bee. Even though his character sometimes shirks responsibility, he has always stepped up when it counted, and I don't think Bee would just abandon everybody to get killed by Madara without some sort of reason.

I think obito mentioned giving back naruto and bee their tailed beasts which implies that he's still alive. Besides kishi doesn't kill characters.

He's probably surviving due to the tentacle plus he has samehada probably pumping him with chakra, naruto should be able to save him like he saved gai

Samehada still has the 8tails chakra so he wouldnt have died from the extraction.

Just because he is no longer shown doesnt necessarily mean hes dead.
Just look at the 5 kages. And the 3 hokages. Theyre benched and were seeing Madara Naruto Sasuke Obito and Kakashi and Guy.
But lately the spotlights at sasuke, which is both good and bad (fapboys/girls are going nuts, I cant really enjoy his spotlight :/ )

OK we saw that when Madara cast IT hat Bee is still alive. Now I'm wondering why he wasn't being wrapped in wood. Was it because the jutsu hadn't gotten that far or is it because his sunglasses were as dark as sasuke's sasunoo and we might get to see more of Bee in action.
I'm not a Bee fapboy, I just like thinking about possibilities.
