In my opinion MF Whitebeard is stronger than Kaido.

Whitebeard could destroy the entire world, and could destroy Marineford with ease. Whitebeard also was the biggest tank we have ever seen in the manga. Kaido currently doesnt have any feats that suggest he is stronger than Witebeard.

Even with their hype whitebeard seems to be able to take far more damage than Kaido:

I Have been wondering about it. There are people who actually believe that Roger/Primebeard can solo multiple admirals at the same time.

Because that would suggest that the admirals of the current time are stronger than the admirals of their time, which there really isn't proof wither way, but I would think of all the people to know, it would be Sengoku, who multiple times during Marineford still called him the strongest man in the world. That suggests that even though WB may have been stronger in the past, he was still the strongest in marineford. Currently, i guess they might all fall in the same tier, but I have always thought you define top tier far far too broadly. If you guys are equaling (see aokiji vs akainu) or extrem diffing (see luffy vs lucci) I wouldnt call that those two fighters to be in the same tier.

I dont think that they are on another level compared to people from this era I just think that Prime WB could take any current top-tier with high diff and maybe just maybe somehow push him to extreme diff but I do also think that old WB can take any current top-tier extreme diff, idk where "we" even implied that they are in some otherwordly level, but also there is probably no way that old top-tiers are just as strong as current ones because this is shonen and overrating the old era is almost a routine in these mangas so yeah no in another level but definitely stronger and it was even implied a shitton of times that WB was the WSM despite his age and he proved it in marineford.

And by stronger I dont mean everyone from the old era but WB and Roger and maybe just maybe Garp can sneak in there, WB/Roger are by far the most hyped characters of the manga, Roger was PK, while WB despite living in the golden era was considered as the king of the sea by Garp and the pirate boss by Jinbe and he himself feared the chaos the NW would be if he were to die, as well as the strongest pirate crew in the world by the marines not to mention the title he held prior to his death which all reinforce the fact that WB/Roger are the strongest duo up to date and the only people surpassing or getting on their level are probably only Luffy/BB.

Whitebeard isn't a tank his body just held up there's a big difference. Whitebeard was easly pierced by blades while it was stated that blades broke on Kaido's skin. Im positive that Oda made that set-up intro for Kaido to prove that he's the most durable\invincible character in the manga. If Akainu survived a bloodlusted assassult from MF WB Kaidou would as well.

Imo any current Emperor outside of Big mom should be easly stronger than WB. Think about mf WB was far cry from his Prime self it wouldn't make sense for him to be stronger than anyother Emperors since he was well past his prime.

Marineford WB has 0 feats suggesting he could put down Kaido. Akainu tanked a bloodlusted assassult from WB. Remember Oda purposly introduced Kaido as the unstoppable unkillable man would undoubtable tank everything that Marineford WB would throw at him simply because Akainu survived it and was still able to fight moments later.

Roger's generation is by far the most overrated thing in the fandom.

I have always said this and will continue to say it. The Current Top Tier Generation as a whole > Roger's generation as a whole.

After Roger died, that is when the Great Pirate Era began

That is when the competition was at its fiercest, in any sort of sport/competition, common sense tells you the more competition there will be the stronger the people will be. Rogers era was never called "The Great Pirate Era" for a reason.

The only exceptions were Roger and WB himself, other than those two, even Garp included (never stated to be Roger's equal) anyone is game to the current top tiers like Kaidou, Shanks, Akainu etc.

Luffy's generation (by EOS) > Shanks' generation > Roger's generation.

Nothing implies otherwise. As a whole each generation gets tougher to compete in, the game evolves and so does the number of people going for the throne and the competition.

WB confronted the Marineford base and ended up losing. Doesn't matter how many people were there or who he was facing when someone like Kaido would have had no problem surviving, just like Toshi said.
