Is kabuto a snake or a dragon

do orocimaru look something even close to what kabuto looks like ??... i am not telling my theory is right and your's is wrong ... but you see the explanation you came up with doesn't satisfy me at all ...

Well...the only thing I can think of why Orochimaru didn't look like that and Kabuto does is because if you remember, Kabuto implanted Orochimaru into himself, but when Orochimaru died he was in his White Snake form, which obviously has a lot more scales and stuff lol. I don't know. But I am sure we can agree that the user of the sage mode only goes through an imperfect transformation when they are actually absorbing sage chakra, correct? Do you think that Kabuto has been absorbing sage chakra this entire time, ever since he first met Tobi and showed him the sixth coffin? Because he did look like this ever since then, and I doubt he can be in sage mode that long. So the only logical thing in my mind is to take away how his body has scales on it and how it looks like a snake, and attribute that to Kabuto implanting Oro's white snake form. If we do that, then his eye pigmentation is just like Naruto's, which would signal a perfect sage mode....but he also grew some horns, so who the hell knows.

Because he has the same type of eye markings that Naruto has in Sage Mode? Kabuto gets dark pigmentation around his eyes that also go down across his neck and down his back. It's just like Naruto's, albeit a little bit more excessive but it is there. His body looking all scaly has nothing to do with the sage mode. He looks like that because of Orochimaru. He isn't using sage mode ALL THE TIME, and his body obviously looked like that the entire time before he actually used sage mode in this chapter, so we can only assume that his body just looks like that and has nothing to do with sage mode.

Yes he gets horns also, but that could just be a part of dragon sage mode. There is no other transformation besides his eyeballs turning dark and his pupils becoming snake eyes, and the dark pigmentation around his eyes going down his back. So I would say that is a perfect transformation to me.

And if you are going to argue about the horns he grew, if he wasn't controlling the sage mode perfectly, I am sure there would be a hell of a lot more transformation other than just horns, look at Jiraiya and Naruto when he was training. Plus he did get the dark pigmentation around the eyes, which you only get when you PERFECT sage mode.

Never ONCE does he call himself a Perfect Sage. He says he is a sage. He says he did what Lord Oro couldnt do, become a sage. He says he is using the perfect power of the Sage, but he never refers to himself as a Perfect Sage, you are just assuming this.

He is just like J-Man, imperfect sages have imperfections physically. You are correct in saying the scales have nothing to do with Sage Mode. My reason for this assumption about Kabuto is b/c he grew horns when he went Sage Mode, which could be a sign of the imperfect-ness.

You say I cant use this arguement because "there would be a hell of a lot more transformation other than just horns" but how would you know this to be true?!? An assumption of course. Naruto has NO physical Toad characteristics, except his eyes. It plainly states that there are NO PHYSICAL IMPERFECTIONS when you are a perfect sage. Kabuto obviously got horns. How do you know he also doesnt have other disfigureations??? We only saw one view of him in "Sage Mode" so far.

Lastly he constantly brings in Nature Chakra because of the body improvements he got from Juugo. But this says nothing about how he is able to MOLD all this damn Nature Chakra that he is NOT staying still to gather. HOW/WHEN is he molding all this chakra "perfectly" while still moving/fighting??? He might have found a way to bypass staying still to get the chakra, but what was the answer for balancing all this Nature Chakra that he's getting without even focusing on channelling it in...? Think about it.


(NOTE: Kabuto is able to gather Nature Chakra without staying still. Which means he could be gathering Nature Chakra at all times, contrary to what you said above that he isn't/can't. He may be unable easily control Lord Oro's cells inside of him because he is CONSTANTLY gathering in Nature Chakra. Just a thought.)

in different threads they call kabuto a dragon sage or a snake sage, in the manga the scroll of the sage mode was in a snake's fortress.

the thing that gets me thinking he is a dragon is when kabuto shows horns on his head and says dragon mode.

so is he a dragon sage or snake sage and does this mean he still use snake summoning features and powers or dragon powers.

Sage = Dragon Sage. There is no "Snake" Sage, if you are trying to call Snake/Dragon different.

Its located in the Dragon Cave. Kabuto called it Dragon Sage Mode. The "snake" usage and appearance comes from having a contract with a snake. Plus Lord Oro's cells inside of him.

One small note. In actuality, these are both the same. Dragon = Snake. In Japan Mythology, a GREAT SERPENT WITH WINGS was a DRAGON. Snake is another form (smaller, less great) form of this Serpent. This is why he has "evolved" past his master. Chuuch.

I was thinking the same thing. That assnake was a sensor and we know you can sense chakra in the sage mode.

OT : Kabuto is neither. Kabuto is what he described himself - a Shinobi without any inborn talent who stole abilites from other.

He implanted Oro's dna which made snake-like
He implanted Uzumaki's cells which gave him fast recovery
He learned Houzoki clan's liquid transformation jutsu
He learned Jyugo's ability at Ryuchidou which is helping him to absorb nature jutsu
And he implanted Kimimaro's cells and made horns on his head to look more like a Dragon.

He isn't a dragon, he said so because he believes he has surpassed Orochimaru in every possbile way and reached perfection. He believes he has evolved into a Dragon. Dragon is the peak of serpent evolution.
