Jiraiya admitted he was outclassed in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu against 3 Rinnegan users, 1 of which was blind and completely useless offensively. Furthermore, the only implied counter was Genjutsu, but considering how Nagato has complete knowledge on Jiraiya's Frog Song, there's no way Jiraiya would have been able to do anything. His "last" trick used only took out Animal Path.

We also have to take into consideration that Deva Path had never used any of his powers against Jiraiya, hence why Kakashi had to figure it out himself against Pain

Nagato is far superior, so Jiraiya ends up getting raped.

Lol, is everyone forgetting how easy it is to fight against Pain/Nagato with intel? Jiraiya was fighting and gathering intel the entire fight against a enemy who knew his fighting style and had counters for them. The only reason reason why he wouldn't win is because of the Deva Path's power if you ask me. But he could easily take out the other Paths.

Than if Jiraiya use it to pein at the beginning, Vs Nagato will be much direct because Nagato weaken a lot. Dont forget Jiraiya has his Toads team with senjutsu power to fight Nagato.
