Is Itachi the G.O.A.T? (Besides Naruto)

I've been on NB for a good little while now, and I've come to learn that Itachi is highly praised. And I've also come to realize why. Its actually a great number of things but mostly because he is a hero primarily. Imo, Itach is Definitely In THE top 3 for the overall top shinobi in terms of who contributed the most to the story.I just want to know,(if you think he is) why do you think Itachi is the best character (besides naruto). You cant really say "Sasuke is a better character" becasue Itachi is the one who gave Sasuke a purpose In the first place and he is also the reason Sasuke is even alive today. Also If Itachi hadnt of murdered the Uchiha clan then Sasuke wouldnt be like he is today, and then Naruto wouldnt have that special goal of his (to bring back Sasuke) and that is basically what Naruto Shippuden is based off of. Just sit back and think how Important Itachi is to the story for a sec, and what the story would be like w/.o him. Tbh, w/o Itachi there wouldnt be much of a story, or Naruto would have to be a completely different story overall. So just list reasons why you think he is the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time).

Itachi is not bad for an uchiha.
IMO its Madara. I prefer Edo madara.

There's something wrong if Itachi gives Sasuke purpose in the story, Sasuke's a main character it should be the other way around. His purpose in the story should have just been an obstacle for Sasuke, not saving the kages from Madara.

You guys are just looking at prowress and other things Instead of who has really affected the overall story. If it wasnt for Itachi there would really be no purpose for Sasuke, and then there wouldnt be a Naruto Shippuden. And to tell the truth Naruto Shippuden is based off of Sasuke, not Naruto.

Yeah i agree Itachi's my favourite character in the entire series he's really important to the story and to the development of other caracters such as Naruto and Sasuke so yeah the series without him would totally suck imo

Without him the war was a single sided affair. No one would have stopped sasuke or madara or tobi or Kabuto.
