She is known as weapons specialist, Itachi is not known for being a specialist with weapons. So what if she is chunin? From what we've seen it's definitely Itachi, that could already be assumed after his training session with Sasuke. He blocked all of Sasuke's Shuriken, though he was nearly blind, and even managed to form handseals while doing so. Nagato's shared field of vision, which is said to be better than that of the Rinnegan, was avoided with Itachi's Kunai.

It definitely not Tenten. She may be specialized at weapon usage, yet at the age of 16 she's merely a Chunin and only spams countless weapons without scoring any hits. Itachi, on the other hand, became Anbu leader at the age of 13. It's obvious that Tenten is superior to him even when it comes to weapon usage.

Then again, most of itachi's feats come from his incredible use of the sharingan. Take away his sharingan and he will lose his ability to track the kunai's trajectory.

Disregarding that this is pure assumption, the Sharingan is a part of Itachi. As well as his great mastery over it.

Tenten hits 100 of 100 targets? Before the Chunin examn she couldn't even hit the middle of a target. On the mission to rescue Gaara she didn't land one score on her double, except of the very end, though the she only has a speed of 3.5. It's obvious that Ten Ten is not as skilled as Itachi is with weapons.

Compared to Tenten, however, who has trained most of her life in handling weapons, has no doujutsu to assist her with her aim, would most likely have mastered weapons on a higher level than itachi.

I am not saying in any way that tenten is greater or more powerful than itachi is. I am stating that tenten's mastery over weapons may be greater than itachi's due to her own experience and exclusive training to one aspect of fighting, using ninja tools, especially since she has no doujutsu to aid her. It is because she has such great skill with weaponry that she is able to manipulate hundreds of weapon at one time.
