[Question] Is it worth it?

I've never watched or read One Piece. Everyone seems to love it so I thought I'll go and check it out. The thing was, the 600+ episodes overwhelmed me.

So the question is: Is it worth getting into it and starting from the very very beginning and watch all of the episodes?

If the length is such a issue for you then don't watch/read it. Is it worth it? Go watch/read the first 10-20 episodes/chapters and make your own judgement.

One Piece is terrible in my opinion. To me, it's the show a 6 year old would come up with. A goofy pirate who can stretch really far and eats comedic amounts. It tries to be so humorous and it's just not.

Length should not be an issue if you enjoy something.

Naruto is 700 chapters
One Piece currently is 767 chapters.


If someone came up to you and asked is Naruto worth reading and they were turned off by the length(no pun intended), what would you say?


Sure the beginning can be a bit slow for some, but it picks up.

I say watch up to the Arlong arc. if the story doesn't pull you in by then, that's fine. One Piece is not for everyone, but just note, the further you go into the story, the better it gets.

OT: it's absolutely epic but not for everyone, if you are one of those people who think that the LoTR books are too slow and boring than OP isn't for you but if you do have a patience for it than there is no other story quite like it, it's beautiful, it's epic, it's humorous, it's emotional and there is much, much more to it than most people think

Maybe you should back yourself with more factual content before flaming someone's personal opinion.

People are probably factoring in the future length of the series as well but your point still stands.
