Locally I've been hearing that Naruto will be going on a hiatus break? I just wanted to know if it was true or not.

From what I've been told, it's the Shonen Jump New Years, which is supposedly on the 27th, next Wednesday. So the chapter should be back on the 27th, or on the Wednesday after, Dec 4th.
