It's kında weird he got these much more:
-background
-development
-resolve
-deeper bonds with others
-relavancy
compared to a main character.

Not just him though. I would put Nagato, Kabuto, Orochimaru, Itachi, Gaara, Madara in the same boat.
There are also others like Lee, Neji, Sasori, Kisame etc. who are better than her in atleast half of the said aspects.

Agreed. When i think back the only memorible moments of sakura i can think of are her fight with sasori, and when she cut her long hair from the opponents grip in p1. No backstory i can remember at all.

So yes, gai is a much better character!!! In my opinion of course

You are on a roll today! As for the question, Gai is a better written character who inspires me way more than "that" heroine. He and Jiraiya are the funniest characters in that dark and corrupt universe. His background is tied or a little better as we don't know much about Sakura. His resolve and bonds are off the charts although I guess Sakura's love and resolve for Sasuke can come close in these categories but definitely not overall. His relevance is less than or equal to her but not by much as she is not really a main character IMO; Naruto and Sasuke are the pillars of this story. Gai did a lot more in this war and was in more notable battles.

For the characters from Nagato-Madara, yes they are better in these requirements. The rest of them do beat her in certain aspects but Sakura is better overall in these areas.

Definitely, safer than using a condom and a girl on birth control. So yeah, it's pretty safe to say that, Kishi just doesn't seem to give development to Sakura on the magnitude he does for other characters.

Though when it comes to Gai, I'm not complaining. I always liked Gai before but he's certainly rising through my list of favorites as of lately.

Gai has been the same guy all series. Sakura has changed from a frightened loser, to a determined but still a ways to go kunoichi, to a good ninja and one of the best medics.

Gai gets background yes, but that's because he was introduced as an adult, and therefore has a background. Sakura isn't the type of character to have much background. In fact, seeing her as a child and going into young womanhood is her background so to speak, and Gai's one chapter background that's just, at its core, his story with Lee retold pales in comparison.

Sakura's resolve has increased and is on par with Gai's. To mock Sakura's resolve is laughable, she attacked Juubi clones head-on while a majority of the alliance gave up and started shitting their pants at the sight of it

Sakura isn't relevant? Who's been keeping the main character's heart beating for the past, what, five chaps and who was saving people in the beginning of the war with medical ninjutsu?

Sakura hate is so old now, give it a rest.
