he was low jounin at best because the sound four had to go level 2 to defeat TWO konoha jonin and they had experience with their curse mark while sasuke who only recently used the cursed mark and unlocked the 3 tomoe would have been beaten by any other jonin at asuma's level xd

of course u have gaps of power.. that much is obvious.. but a part 1 sasuke being the level of a jonin? i dont think so..

it also takes a certain level of knowledge and experience to be considered a jonin

also using kurenai as an example is silly since we havent seen much at all from her... she lacks feats apart from a few genjutsu which even caught kisame and the genjutsu was only broken because of itachi's sharingan..

for all we know kurenai could be very strong

however there is a large gap between part 1 sasuke.. and someone like asuma was your average jonin maybe a tad above

3 Tomoe sharingan, CS2, Chidori, and most important he defeated Naruto when he had 1 tail on rampage.

Jiraiya had troubles with 4 tails. I'm no way saying they are equal, but i dont think many "jounins" could defeat Naruto on a rampage.
I would say low-jounin level above chuunin definitely.
I think at that point both Naruto and Sasuke were above chuunin level

The age doesnt necessarily matter. Itachi was Kakashi's captain in Anbu.
Minato could take on hiruzen any day of the week.

Sasuke at the end on part 1 ,even without cm was jonin level due to 3 tomoe and lee's taijutsu imitation . He had advanced shuriken jutsu , taijutsu, chidori , various fire techs his 3 tomoe makes him able to counter most jonin assaults

i have a sense that some of you guys don't know what these levels can do. no he was not jounin level, chuunin yes. you forget he was fighting a relatively equal naruto, had he been been fighting a jounin you would realize the power difference.
