Plenty of reasons to justify hitting a woman or a man, it doesn't matter. Just because she is a woman doesn't mean she'll get a free pass.

Without a reason it's not ok to hit either anyway so why would it differ? Never hit a woman is just an outdated statement that doesn't apply anymore (even though it never did imo). Women can be bitches just how men can be *******s.

Generally speaking - physical violence is something that should only be used with careful consideration.

That said - I am somewhat old fashioned, and even sexist. I will give a female far more leniancy than is fair, and it is a bias on my part. It takes a special kind of female to make me consider her an 'enemy' or someone who should be disposed of.

On the other hand - my instinct is to kill a guy who so much as looks at me the wrong way (and I would if it weren't for the consequences society has to dish out for such behavior).

Probably a sort of genetic instinct from generations past - take care of your harem and kill anything that tries to mess with it.
