Is it right to brag about a talent?

If you were gifted or blessed--referring to religious members--with a talent or talents, does it make sense to brag about it? You didn't earn it as you would a skill. You were just fortunate or blessed. It's like Madara bragging about his powers. He either was born with his abilities or stole them. It made no sense how much he boasted.

It depends how much. there is nothing wrong with being proud or confident about your talents. But if you are too boastful then it turns into pig headedness and not only will people end up despising you but will disrespect any talent you do have. It is about finding the difference between confident tooting of the horn and overbearing arrogance.

But a talent and skill are really the same thing and people should be proud of what they can do.

You should be happy you possess inborn talent, but bragging about it makes you very annoying.

"Bragging", as in, constantly being a douche about it and shoving it around, no, it's not. But there's nothing wrong with being proud of and speaking positively about a talent you have.

For example, if you're talented at singing, then there's nothing wrong with saying "Yeah, I can sing", but constantly bringing it up in attempt to superiority isn't cool.

Nothing is wrong in being confident in your talents/skils, but boasting about them in ways that would make people feel inferior or something like that is just wrong

Of course you can be proud. You have the rights and freedom to do that. Even if people don't want to listen to them, don't care and brag like how you want.

Boasting is not okay, being proud is. Even though I try to be modest most of the time.

It's definitely fun but you can't do it all the time or people will hate you.

Lol I love bragging, but I see the line, bragging when it's 100% irrelevant of a talent atm is a dumb move.
Bragging 35% of the time is annoying, 50% of the time and your hated.

I mostly brag when I want to piss people off anyways, else it's usually modesty.

There's nothing wrong with being proud of yourself, but i feel there is lots wrong with being a pretentious douche. Also, there is a time and place for everything, and nobody wants to hear how "great" you are when it isn't relevant to the situation.

I concur with this.
