This isn't really a question, more like a mini-rant. You would think that if you purchased something at the store then it is now your property therefore, you can do what you'd like with it. (In most cases)

Unfortunately, if you take a really close look into the terms and conditions, most companies state that the product remains the property of the company... You're only buying rights to use it, but you never actually own the property. That's SAD.

Material's aint it. Might as well just be happy and enjoy what short time you have with loved ones and nature.

That doesn't give a reason to not want material things. Only an idiot would think it'd make them happy.

What do you mean by " not owning the property", it is not like that company is going to snatch up the product that you purchased. Yes it is also the property of that company because say you are returning the item then that company has to take full responsibility and ownership.

What i mean is that companies would like to give the illusion that you own when in reality you're just USING.

For example.. You can't truly own a home. Even if you think you paid it off, the government still rents it to you via property taxes each year.

Please explain it in realistic terms if you may. Say I buy a car. No debt full payment. Now you say I have 'using rights'. For how much time do I retain these 'using rights'? If they are for eternity, it is as good as owned. Even better because if it malfunctions, I can blame the owner.

As far as a car goes, you won't ever get a TITLE to it, only a CERTIFICATE OF TITLE but that actual title exists somewhere, right?. It gets worse: What about the form of RENT you need to pay in order to use highways to drive that car on? You can't even own the "right to drive" unless you RENT that right from your local DMV licensing depot.

There is a lot of shit that isn't widely publicized, for example secret warranties. To answer the bold, if you read everything in your agreement when buying a car, you can get anything fixed with secreat customer satisfaction warranties..since most cars aren't 100% but are good enough NOT to recall. Still not truly your car though without this actual TITLE.

What's even more diabolical is that technically, we don't even have ownership over ourselves or our kids. All property of state. As wierd and pointless as it sounds, suicide is a punishable offense for that reason. Wanna eat? work. Wanna work? Get a number. State finds you "unfit" to raise kids? They take em. Wanna get married? The license is actually a permit, which reveals it's true nature. The list keeps going.

Maybe in the U.S. But not the UK.

On V5 car registration documents, we even have two seperate sections for "registered keeper" and "legal owner". Usually the same unless you're buying the car on finance, and then the legal owner is the dealer, and the buyer the registered keeper. Then if the buyer decides to pay off the final balloon payment, he becomes the legal owner too.

I tell people that all the time and get bashed for it. Like i tell my friends with houses that they built with their own money an got their own land. Stop paying property taxes and you will see who's house it is when they send their armed thugs to come take it from you.

These people who think they run things are scum an people need to grow some balls or whatever it is and start going by their own rules as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.
We live on this planet just like those tyrants do and we let them do the things they do to us when we out number them probably a couple million to 1.

Just goes to show people are happy with their plastic life. We went from being strong an dominate as a race to being weak easily offended by everything.

Mostly product is of the company. You buy it to use as is, for a personal use.

Well they just license you stuff but they won't be taking it away cause it's bad for their rep and ultimately business, or at least tech stuff and other regular things.
