This is a theory I have come up with. Please don't flame me. I believe that Hamura is the Hyuuga and Uzumaki Clan ancestor on both sides. Why? Take a look at Hogoromo's sons. There was Indra, who possessed the eyes, the powerful chakra reserves, and excellent battle skills. Ashura on the other hand, possessed the Sage's body, but not the eyes. Could be it possible that Hamura had two offspring: One born with his eyes (Hyuuga) while the other possessed the body (Uzumaki)?

The Uzumaki and Senju were great friends and became companians. The only Uzumaki-Senju left is Tsunade, nobody else. Yes, Naruto is Ashura's reincarnation, but his parents had no Senju blood in them. Otherwise, Kishimoto would have said so.
