Is it possible to put someone who uses 8 gates mode under Genjutsu ?

Lately i though about it. Genjutsu is basically controlling your opponents chakra flow. To free of it you must disturb your chakra flow or have someone else disturb it for you. When using 8 gates chakra flows out of ordinary so that made me wonder can you put Gai under genjutsu when he's using 8 gates mode?

People like Lee have Chakra, they just cant use it.

That doesnt mean others cant, Gai isnt immune to Genjutsu.

If u can put a kyuubi or a jinchruki under genjutsu on their peak then i do think u can put them to genjutsu though they move fast enough to dodge or not look into you to be caught in genjutsu

No. Gai is too fast to be caught under genjutsu and his chakra in 8 Gates like you said, flows out of the ordinary.

Yeah. They can break a genjutsu by opening a gate, though - but since they'd be in the 8th gate, they're ****ed.

ofc beccause they have to use the mind/body to open the gates. rather before or during the 8 gates they arent immune to genjutsu

I think so because the pain from gates will also help you break it. However if a genjutsu is strong enough, Gai won't be able to utilize any techniques while in genjutsu.

In Gai's case I'd have to say no for a few reasons:

1: Making eye contact with someone moving that fast would be problematic.

2: Gai is the premier schalor in fighting the Sharingan. He has trained to fight Sharingan user by watching their feet/body and avoiding the eyes at all times meaning you would have to restrict his movement before getting him to look at you, which is next to impossible if he is in the 8th inner gate.

3: If chakra is constantly being expelled from his body during the 8th gate wouldn't this be akin to Kai and releasing a genjutsu. Tsukuyomi, izanagi, izanami, maybe though. but again you have to make eye contact with that blur of a ninja in order to effect him.

I don't think that's how it works.
Its like saying Tsunade is immune to genjutsu after releasing her seal because its constantly pumping chakra into her.
They might be realeasing more chakra when using those methods, but the output is constant and 'moving in the same way'. In order to take someone out of a genjutsu one must infuse a bit of chakra but on a 'different direction' to put the flow back in the right way.
The gates or the yin seal only increase the chakra output, they don't influence the chakra flow.
