Is it possible to go anime and manga together?

i really wish that the anime and the manga go hand in hand cause it's not so exciting to watch naruto anime when you know all the story and even the dialogues.so is it possible that they go together. I know manga is about 40-45 episodes further but i really like to watch anime rather then manga.
