Is it oly me or does everyone seem to underestimate Konan?

I cant understand why Konan is placed last almost everytime someone is ranking the mebers of Akatsuki. She almost beat Tobi- a feat wich Deidara, Sasori, Orichumaro, (that releigus luny that Shikamaru pwnd) or that one Kakuzu (him with all them hearts) hardly would ever be even close to accomplish.
So why is everyone calling her weak?

When I clicked on this I thought, "Who underestimates her?" but by reading your post, I getcha. I think she might be ranked last because the other members of Akatsuki have all gotten more time. The fact that she's a woman amongst all males - er, was - I hate to say it, may have something to do with it. A lot of the Naruto fanbase are males that are into action and yadda ya. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just my two cents. I think Konan is pretty cool, myself ♥. Plus her fight with Tobi was well planned, but not acted out.

Because she had already prepared all that stuff much before their fight..

she prepaired her fight against Tobi; if she hadn't, she would've died quickly...
she's also in Akatsuki because she's Nagato's partner, and was in the original Akatsuki when it was all Amegakure ninja. she didn't get in because she was exceptionally powerful (she might be, but that's not why she's an Akatsuki), so people may think of that as well.

do you know who else hit tobi...fuu and torune. not to mention the month prep time she had and info she had.

unfortunately even with this she still failed.

I know. Every time there's a Konan vs. thread, some fanboy brings up her fight with Tobi, and won't listen to the reason that she planned that out LONG beforehand...

I'm not a fanboy. Im simply asking wy everyone seems to underestimate her. I'm not saying shes top 10 strongest, maybe not even among the 20 strongest in the narutoverse. However, I belive shes WAY much stronger to be ranked last among the Akatsuki.

konan isnt all that great she stood in pains shadow thats why ppl dont look at her like they would sasori and other members. also you have to realize that her paper jutsu was very weak. if she stayed to fight shino during the attack on konoha she would ahve lost. if pain didnt save her from jman she would of died. that jutsu she did to tobi was planned and she ran thru countless simulations of it. she planned that paper abyss jutsu thats not something she can do at the drop of a hat. she really isnt all that great. she maybe better than ur average ninja but to an elite she will lose.

like i said i would have more respect for her if she didnt hide in Pains shadow all the time. and stood up for herself once in while. same shit with sakura when she was younger alwasy hiding behind naruto n sasuke but now she can stand up for herself. konan couldnt do that and when she tried she died. not hating but her character played the role in the manga nuff said

However, there's a reason she's last in the Akatsuki; the Akatsuki are all INCREDABLY powerful ninja. She may be on par or above a White Zetsu clone or Black Zetsu (but then again, he is the land and can use wood style), but other Akatsuki are, in a lot of opinions, stronger than her.
Itachi: Mangekyou Sharingan (Tsukuyomi, Amateratsu, Susano'o (Yata Mirror, the sealing sword))
Kisame: Samehada (chakra sensing, chakra stealing, fusing ability, healing of fatal injuries)
Deidara: Explosive Clay (clay dragon, C4, C0, other techs)
Sasori: Puppetry (Can only be killed by destroying his heart, Hiruko, 3rd Kazekage, fire/water cannons, 100 puppet army), Iron Sand (through 3rd Kazekage puppet)
Hidan: Jashin (cannot be killed, can kill others by killing himself)
Kakuzu: Earth Grudge Fear (5 hearts, 4 become beats, 4 elements, threads)
Orochimaru: Snakes (Manda, 3-headed snake, hidden snake sleeve, snake-like neck and tongue, giant white snake), Grasscutter Blade, Kinjutsu (Edo Tensei, various other kinjutsu)
Nagato: Rinnegan (6 paths (summoning, chakra absorbtion, soul stealing, information searching/revival, mechanical, gravity manipulation))
Zetsu: White Zetsu (wood style, clones (spore tech), chakra absobtion (perfect clone)), Black Zetsu (is the land, wood style)
Tobi: We already know Tobi vs. Konan.

I honestly see her paper having a hard time against all of the Akatsuki.
