Maybe, but probably not. Something about the image may resonate with the person during the time it is being used. It could have also been chosen as an Avatar simply because of its aesthetic value. That, and/or the user is just too lazy to change it.

Well it does tell something about the person even if it's only chosen for aesthetics. Though the deduction you make on the base of it may be way off the mark or completely wrong in most cases.

Sometimes avatars influence the way I read posts in my mind Also, sometimes people pick faves that have something in common with them (personality wise), so avas may seem fitting to the ways they act.

This. Although they may think they're as cool as their fav by trying to act like them but they just sound like tw@ts. It's an internet forum after all. You're not Sasuke or whoever you aspire to be. You don't have powers. You just sound like an ass, especially with nothing to back it up. You need a reality check lel
