i feel like (good) anime has better cinematography and creative direction than most live action TV shows and movies. Realized this watching many anime, but Psycho Pass is done really well. Another example is Brotherhood when they burn Lust, rarely ever seen stuff that intense and visceral in live action. I feel for the most part live action stuff kinda pisses me off since it seems to try hard but not really get across a strong effect, anime just has better scenes, music, ect when it's being serious and not comedic. Look at stuff like FMA, HxH, Psycho Pass, Monster, hell even stuff like Naruto episode 71 or the bridge scene with Zabuza and Haku. Just done way better than most live action stuff I see, weird when I feel more immersed in an animation then real people, but something about the execution in lots of live action stuff just feels trying to hard and forced. For example Game of Thrones, just seems hokey when it's throwing *** scene after *** scene to be "mature" and just having unnatural character interactions and drama, its a fun show but anime just has something about it that actually makes me get more emotionally invested and take it more seriously. I always have the urge to punch those TV show actors in the face because they just seem so fake.

For anime or any animated media it is only limited by creators imagination. TV shows have their own better side as well, actors, expressions and details which anime lacks. Try to imagine a scene in GoT with sketched anime like faces.

I agree that Game of Thrones does throw in a lot of nudity in it, I don't like the nudity that much either but it's trying to be as realistic (aside from the magical shit and dragons) as it was back then when whores were a huge part of profiting and sexual desires being a big curiosity to people as it still is today.
Can't help but realize you left out the greatest anime of all time which is Dragon Ball Z :)

This is an old post of mine:

I actually quit watching movies, and I'm from America. I don't really have an interest in them anymore, since a lot of them seems to be copies of another, just tweaked a bit. The last movie I watched was in May of last year lol, and that's because my brothers begged me to go see Iron Man with them, plus it was my birthday lol.

I'm an anime fanatic now. I don't know what it is about movies, maybe because they're short (in comparison with an anime), I'm not able to make any connection with the characters. It's simply about the plot, there is no "character development" for me. In the world of anime, there's all kinds of interesting characters. You get to have interesting characters and a great plot. You get to "grow" with the characters. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of great movies, but it only takes time before thousands of others copy that movie.

TV series have more room for me to make a connection with the characters, but my gawd, there's so many Law and Order or CSI type shows here . And I don't know, a lot of TV shows is the same plot from episode to episode, just different "villains" :p. Also, I feel that all it takes to make a great character in a TV series, is to make that character badass. This usually means being either super intelligent, great fighting skills/superpowers, or maybe both with a slight touch of arrogance.

I use to watch TV a lot, but after years and years of it, I got the urge to try something new.

..........

Too lazy to edit/take back some things. But this together with what you mentioned is pretty much why I prefer it.

There's a new TV show I'm interested in, though I can't recall the name. I just know it's about some socially awkward computer genius who is recruited by a group of hackers.
