You stay butthurt. Gaiden was a great way to connect, and develop the relationship of Sasuke,Sakura, and Sarada.

The absolute only reason why Sasuke was out of the village was because of his mission, Sakura fully knows this, and always told Sarada he would come back once he completed his mission, and it is because he loves them that he's not with them at the moment.

Sasuke was the only one who could solve thing, he was the only one who could go to Kaguya's dimensions and gain information on threats even greater than her which could destroy the world.

Sasuke clearly cares about them both, hence the forehead pokes, and he himself confidently said Sarada's existence shows his and Sakura bond/love.

That was very sweet thing to say about his family.
