In part 1 the village relations were depicted as volitile and on the edge of breaking into bloody violence with little warning. The sand village ruthlessly attacked the Konoha village from within during the chunnin exams, they had no mercy or sympathy it was all about war. Relations between sand were fixed though, but the other villages never had the chance to come to good terms with the leaf. The cloud village was responsible for the Hyuga tragedy that left Neji so screwed up. My question is, why would A, who's buddies with a goofy guy like Killer B ever do something so cold and ruthless? At the kage summit it didn't take much for Gaara to get everyone to agree to cooperate, but weren't the villages at each other's throats right before this? Having multiple wars against each other tallying up countless fatalities even children? Why do the other villages seem like such nice guys, like Mei is just a goofy chick who wants to get married, sure she gets serious but she's not the type to **** over someone over some petty dispute, these guys aren't the cold calculating warlords that you'd except from Part 1's depictions of the other villages.
Konoha and the Sand made more sense to me, their characters and lore were darker and grittier aside from the Bloody Mist, I just feel like there's something off about how the other villages acted in the war arc I can't imagine them getting along so easily after so many decades of trying to kill each other.
Am I just looking at it wrong? I only saw the anime version of the Kage Summit and first half of the war arc.
