Lets see he wanted to get strong to kill Itachi.

He seen Naruto was getting stronger and progressing more rapidly than usual.

He knew Orochimichael could make him stronger but was hesitant

After he saw the spanking Itachi gave him it reconfirmed his resolve and to top it off Itachi came looking for Nardvark.

Not knowing they were after the fox in Nardvark all Sasuke knew was that Itachi didnt even seem to acknowledge him and could casually brush him aside.

It made him wonder what the heck he's been doing for the past 12 year's.


And so he left.

The sheer thought that a lowlife loser like Nardvark could become and was still becoming something so great broke his heart.

A heartbreak and lust for the upperhand on Nardvark lead Sasuke to Orochimichael.
