My sister used to leave her laptop charge everyday, and at night even if it didnt need to, and now, she cant use it if its not charging.. If the charger is not connected, even if the battery is full, it only lasts about 10 minutes so now for her to use it the computer charger must be plugged in.. I charge it a lot too, almost like her, but luckily this hasnt hapened to me, but my batterie does die quite faster..
Why does this happen>?

Mine is currently doing the same thing, I kept it plugged in 24/7 Cept mine sparks when I go to plug it in -.-. I took it into geek squad and they told me the battery was fried and wouldn't hold a charge..It was short circuited. Just be careful, really not much to do cept it replaced lol

When it's fully charged, take it off charge until it goes into hibernation/sleep mode.
Also change it so your laptop turns of at 3percent batterylife. I've had this one for a year and it still can last watching 2movies. Roughly 3hrs and 20mins.

I leave mine plugged in. It works fine for me. There is no way you can overcharge. Not these days anyway. Yes you will lose battery life over time because the charge capacity will decrease. But what the real energy drainer is the processes you're running. Or rather how many your running. If you you leave it plugged in it should be fine. As long as you don't keep it on 24/7. Let it hibernate or shut it down so the battery doesn't heat up when not in use.

Hmmm... I see. So the best thing to do now is just to charge it when the computer goes to hibernate mode, and when it is fully charge remove the charger cable. It would suck if the same thing that happened to my sis happened to mine..
