IMO, you should only be paranoid before your drivers test. After that, driving should be second nature to you. (assuming you've practiced a lot)

Yeah, I have grandma like that. She'll start freaking out thinking the other drivers are messing with her but in reality they're just trying to get over to another lane.

She drives slow and stops way behind the car in front of her incase she gets rear ended she'll have space to get knocked forward without hitting the car...
