There have been so many build ups to major deaths only for the character not to die. Is there a chance that Arima vs Kaneki and Furuta vs Eto is actually the real deal and not just a tease fight? Tokyo Ghoul:re is almost halfway finished and there haven't been any extremely major deaths so far. Is it possible that the both the (once perceived) strongest ghoul and human are nearing their end? Is this actually Eto and Arima's final fight? I have a feeling we might be seeing both their deaths in a few weeks.

I cant see Arima dying atm, Eto however has a good chance of getting killed from Fururta. She raised too many deathflags this arc so lets see how strong her plot armour is.
Also im certain the patter she ate from Furuta had something in it.

Eto will live, she is too important to the plot to dead just yet,she is the only one who has good information on the V, also if she does manage to lose to furutrash, kaneki will defeat Amira or escape him as has equal and go collect eto, ken will become the OEK to protect his friends so that they never feel pain again from this wrong world and if eto can help him do that by defeating the V, she will live up until the final arc. Pretty sure thats the way the story's going and that will be kaneki's resolve/ reason for living.
Furutrash or Arima dead in this arc or no one does, this manga is becoming predictable.
I'm calling that Kaneki wont return to :RE, but go his final journey but this time he wont be alone touka and the other join him

Doubt he's throwing us off, mostly because the characters you mentioned would be killed off even in the most softcore manga due to how dangerous they are. Arima and Furuta have no place in the semi-happy ending I'm sure Ishida is gunning for. Their deaths would mean nothing.
