Hey dudes and dudettes,
How are we all? A while back I finished watching the first four seasons of The Boys. For those of you who aren't familiar with the
show/comic, it's a very black, violent satire of the superhero genre. You have The Seven- a drug addict Flash (A-Train), a cynical
drunk Wonder Woman (Maeve) A silent psychotic Deadpool-like killer (Black Noir), a serial r--ist Aquaman (The Deep) and of
course a murdering narcissistic sociopath Superman (Homelander) They save the day for profit margins, merchandise and
balance sheets while Vought covers up all the atrocities they commit. Then you have Hero Academia where the heroes also save
the day for ratings, merchandise, oversight, etc. The only difference is they actually care about the folks they save. So, as the
two are similar, I was wondering if perhaps Hero is in fact The Boys Lite? Any thoughts? Let me know and as Ron Burgandy says,
"Stay classy, Anime Base."
