Is Hashirama immune to genjutsu?

Well plenty of people believe that Hashirama is stronger than Madara, but in versus threads, genjutsu is heavily use to show Sharingan user suprematie against someone. So i wanted to ask this. How did Hashirama manage to beat Madara without being caught by genjutsu? For example, why didn't Madara use a genjutsu at this moment?

simply he didnt use it like minato vs obito

he's not .... that's why he dint notice madara wasn't dead... and went back to the village hitting his hands on his chest he killed madara when he was placed under a genjutsu

Oh, really? It's not what i see but whatever. The thing is his eye are still open, which means that he doesn't close his eyes when he fights Madara(or another Uchiha). Do you mean that during all the fight with eyes open, he never made eye contact with Madara?

Madara uses genjutsu in his fights - he did it to A in chapter 588, page 8.

Yes, if you're trained in fighting eye contact, you can easily look at the persons forehead or feet or something and be able to fight, chiyo is able to do this because she has experience fighting uchiha.. without a doubt tobirama and hashirama can do it as well

There is always the fact that he fought countless sharrigan users and may just understand how the techniques work therefor rendering them useless against him. I mean if people put you under it enough you would probably begin to understand how to break yourself free. It's like anything else the more you work at it the better you get.

This is a question I always asked myself... Are Senjus immune to genjutsu? We haven't heard once about a Senju being caught in genjutsu by an Uchiha...

I dont really know to be hones, if genjutsu was a huge trump card in his fight with hashirama he would of used it and since genjutsu puts you unconscious i would say gen doesnt work or madara would of used it countless time, another way to look at this is he knows how uchihas work inside out so he could counter the genjutsu by either not looking at their eyes or some jutsu we dont know about, this did happen with minato though although i dont think genjutsu is one of obitos strong points

I don't know Hashi's full jutsu arsenal, but he should be at least aware of some of the presigns, so the change in atmosphere, maybe he counters with something, I can't say anything for certain


maybe you're right, maybe he makes eye contact, but that doesn't mean he' s "immune "
Nothing thus far has shown any reason for immunity... it could mean he has a solid counter or is confident in his ability to break genjutsu quickly <--- unlikely, because being put in a genjutsu even for a split second can be game changing
