Is hard for you to become friends with people who aren't anime fans?

All my closest friends are either anime fans so we agree a lot and understand each others jokes cuz we like the same characters.....
or
people younger than me, they are chatterboxes and they love to talk
my youngest friend is 4 and we can pull off a conversation since she talks alot

the rest of my friends who aren;t anime fans we just don't talk a lot ever since they found out i like anime:T_T: kinda sad
they hate it anime so much they take out on me
all they talk about is gossip
or
older than.....like really older
im a good listener and i luv stories
just not gossip like "oh did u hear thi or that"

I'm 18 so I don't worry about my friends not knowing things about me, all my close friends know that I like this show but they don't watch any show like this. I don't really care though. i don't watch anime and i doubt any of my friends do. but you'll be surprised how many people actually read mangas. we don't talk about it when we're chillin, but why should u care? if u have a lot of friends who are into anime just like u, that's great. common interest right there.

Only a few people know I like Naruto and other Anime. Like Heister said people don't always need to know I like Naruto, and some people will never find out. I' have a versatile personality, so I can make friends with people who hate Anime, and still have a lot in common with them. (My ex gf hated all types of Anime, and I got her into watching Naruto now.) But You have to have more in common with people than just Anime. Thats what I do.

I dont even know any other anime or manga than Naruto. And i have no idea if any of my friends watch or read anything and that's fine by me. But if someone would ask me if i watch or read i would not lie because whats the point

Not at all.

In fact I just know how to get along with people. If they are not into it, we talk about whatever, if we are at school we talk about things we need to do and from there talk about the teachers and what not.

Its a bit complicated when I meet people that like sports, I dislike sport, but still just to get along I let them talk about it and just agree or whatever.

No not really. I have more friends who dont watch anime or read manga than I do who do. I dont care what other people think about what I watch, like I cant stand peole who watch shows like American Idol, and Biggest Looser , or Big Brother, and Survivor is a joke imo( lets send people to a place where people have lived for hundreds of years and see if they can survive" Daniel Tosh does a good joke about this too.) But I just find, and can talk about other things other than T.V. to talk about.

One of the main reasons I do watch anime is because the plots of them are usually well written, and I dare say more so than regular shows on tv. Also I'm a huge fan of classic animation.

anyway i know like 4 friends that likes Naruto & Bleach and one of them is my best friend really , you just watch the anime cause you enjoy watching it , don't worry about what other's think of you , just think about what you like to do regardless of other people's opinnion... ( wow someone's getting too political o_o)

Well, it's okay for me. The friends who don't like anime are cool and stuff. We get along normally. One of by best friends isn't into anime, but the friends who are, I understand and get along with much more. Most I met by marriage (family, not me XD) and some through friends and randomness.

So, it's sorta hard, but it's really not. I wish I had more anime friends, but I have a good enough amount for me + you awesome people!
