My thoughts exactly.

OT: No because in order to take down top 10 contenders he needs to use a jutsu that results in his death, thus he can't win the match even if he defeats his opponent.

because Madara is stronger than obito, and hashirama was able to defeat Madara while he was controling 9 tails, without using his full power. The reason he couldn't the 2nd time was Madara was blocking his chakra. He couldn't do that with guy, as he used a different type of chakra.

Only rinnegan madara is stronger than obito, & this is excluding them as juubi jins.

Considering the fact that Guy can't just simply keep up with Madara unless he uses his 8th gate, he can't be on the top5. You can't include those that only have a short burst of strength. I'm not being bias here but I'am only judging base on up to what extent can a naruto character do. Unlike Naruto and Sasuke, the 1st-4th, and also the 5 kages, Guy can only be in the same level as them if he only uses 8th gate. The problem now is that, he'll die afterwards. Hope you get the point.
