Is Guy dead or alive?

I know Naruto extended his life force, but does that change the fact that Guy is slowly turning into ashes?

I don't think Naruto's ability totally healed his body. His body is still a train wreck after going 8 gates. So even if he is breathing, how are they gonna fix him. He'll never be the same

Yeah he got pulled by roots forcefully and strongly with his body that 1 touch could break all his bones, but this is manga so it deflects logic.
