Is God Tree's Defense Low?

It was able to tank its own bijuu dama previously and now it is being cut by swords whether water or susanoo. Do you think that when it transformed, its defense became more like a giant tree and is susceptible to being slashed through?

I myself cudn't get a satisfactory answer. Ahh!! They too are in confusion. I think kishi overrated sasuke or now he has the possession of totsuka otherwise that is an impossible feat to be done!!!

Perhaps its beacuse the majority of the Jubi's power is still inside Obito???? ... the Shinju tree is just similar to the Gedo Statue now ..... a empty, minimally conscious shell being controlled by a user.

PS without senjutsu chakra, I don't see how they managed to hurt that tree unless Juubi has got weaker in defense because the thing tanked its own bijuu dama a few times which pales in comparison to a sword attack
