[Question] Is Gintama good?

Just finished HunterxHunter(2011) and I have to say it far exceeded my expectations and is easily in my top 5, no bs fillers and no waste of time episodes and i'm caught up with Tokyo Ghoul and Nanatsu no Taizai, and was gonna try Gintama! What is your opinion on it and if it's right fir me? I like comedy but with serious action and badass moments as well, basically like a shounen! Thanks guys!

yes its good but i recomend starting at episode 58 because episode 1-57 is sort of filler but still funny thats when it gets good because it has a slow start

I believe you'll definitely like Gintama if you're looking for what you've stated. The show and manga fits perfectly under it's genres, comedy and action... ^^

Gintama is the best Anime IMO.

I think you're gonna like it since it has it's shounen moments. Though, it's like 80% comedy and has some serious arcs spread through the "episodic" episodes.

You really shouldn't skip anything except the first 2 filler episodes since the early episodes are not fillers and they establish the relationship between the characters.
