[Discussion] Is genetic engineering bad?

Depends on what it is but I personally think science should stop trying to play games with life. Mess around and really start f-cking up sh-t with all this genetically engineering.

I agree with it on certain things but not always like genetically modifying our food.

Can't predict the side effects of genetic engineering,there is always side effects.
What happens to the children of the genetic engineered human or animal is unknown,what if you become sterile because of it

All endeavors have the potential to go wrong especially something like this. However our fears and doubts must be set aside if we're going to move forward as a species. We can't be afraid of experimenting with things - that said, we have several more immediate things we should focus on and I don't think we're ready for genetic modification. For those reasons, I firmly believe we shouldn't engage in this at this particular time.
