Momoshiki and Kinshiko didn't detect any bijuu chakra from Gaara even though he was sitting with the fellow kages including Naruto. Gaara and Shukaku had a moment in the war I THINK but they are not friends like Kurama/Naruto and Gyuuki/Bee. I do think he's ideally living in the dangerous Sand desert as the king.
