I got a feeling of lackluster and staleness after the break, im mainly referencing to the 2014 fairytail anime as i don't follow the manga it looked a shadow of its former self and not as exhilarating to watch as before. What are you guys opinion on this? Is it just that guilds competition arc or the whole manga/anime is headed in a downwards spiral? Have your say here!!!

This sort of thing happens all the time to long running series like these. It's difficult to keep a show feeling fresh and new when you have been running for over a decade or so.

Trying to breath life back into it at that point is a very hard thing to do. It's still entertaining but no It doesn't have the same appeal on me as it did when I 1st started watching it.

Eh, I'm just waiting for more acnologia and zeref scenes, then it gets more interesting, right now it's meh. At least bleach got interesting, dat yhwach
You've been reading the Manga right?

Don't open Spoiler unless you are up to date on the Manga:

Becuase both Acnologia and Zeref have returned. Acnologia even killed Igneel. Zeref has his memories, powers, and demon book back as well and finally getting active and there has been a 1 year time skip for Fairy Tail and the other guilds to prepare for Zeref's move so your wish will be granted soon enough. :win:

the last arc in the manga ( the one that just finished like 4 chapters ago??) had promise, but ended up being ruined with the usual shit hiro mashina pulls, god knows how bad the anime adaptation will be.

it's better than the grand magic game arc, but that's not really saying anything.

either way I dropped the manga/anime.

Yeah I know all of that but right now, nothing but build up is happening :coffee: but hopefully it us, until then bleach has my focus, the climax is just too much.

for me Bleach isn't all that exciting to me this final arc. Like Naruto, it feels kind of rushed. I haven't really felt any connection to any of the Quicny aside Uryuu who has been there since the beginning more or less.

For example: in the Esada Arc we got to know most of the Espada their pasts how they came into their powers, etc. We've seen Ichigo and crew fight them, loose to them, fight them again, loose to them again, then sometimes win, then loose again, then finally beat them.

The Quincy haven't been around long enough to care whether they die or not, which probably isn't Kubo's fault, he is probably on a deadline and needs to wrap it up soon.

I never really care about anyone in Fairy Tail though as no one ever dies there. At least we have finally had some deaths in Bleach.

Well some of the Quincy have back story but I don't bother with it much since they are merely extensions of Yhwach. Yhwach we have a decent back story for and the Quincy that "cannot die". I still find the plot twist as ridiculous, wasn't cliché at all and Yhwach is going nuts. Fairy tail is going eh for me, after the dragons part I tuned out

No arguments on that for sure. Juhubach and seeing Rukia finally get her Bankai the highlights that are keeping me hooked on this arc of bleach and the epic battles of course. I don't really have an issue with the Quincy themselves just wish we could have paced it out with the attack and deaths a bit more so I can really enjoy the Qunicy we have been introduced to already.

Again I don't blame Kubo for this, as I mentioned he is probably being rushed to end the series.

The Manga definitely is, but the Anime isn't anymore. The first season was awesome but the second is a let down so far.

Btw if you watch the Anime atm, it has nothing to do with the story. It's just a lame filler arc.
