[Question] Is Fairy Tail worth getting into?

Its action and comedy is on par with One Piece, though its story/plot lags significantly behind. Whereas One Piece does not really have anything to not like, Fairy Tail has two things, excessive Nakama Power and Fanservice. Fanservice is ignorable, I would say 80% of the readers simply ignore it and don't pay too much attention, 10% actually like it, and 10% don't. I am one of the people who couldn't really care less. Excessive Nakama Power BS on the other hand does tend to get very annoying for me. The ratings can vary, if you are very into plot and less about action I would give it a 6/10, its plot is average, nothing bad or good about it, though the current arc did have several intresting events as far as story goes,its still significantly behind One Piece, Naruto and Bleach in this aspect. If you like yourself action and comedy over story, I would give this one a 9/10. Action is truly great, only noticably behind Naruto (out of the ones I read/have read) on par with One Piece and almost as good as Bleach. Comedy is also great, on par with One Piece and Naruto and above Bleach. My personal rating is a 7.5/10.

(Yes I have read plenty of manga outside of the Big Three, they are simply the best manga to compare to)

I haven't watched all of it having only gone up to episode 90 of the first edition but I think it's a solid 7 . It lacks at a few points but it's fun to watch. So I definitely recommend it

It's one of my favorites.

Pros:

1. Good story
2. Good action
3. Very Humorous
4. Great Characters
5. A lot of emotional moments
6. Strong family and friendship bonds

Cons:
1. Too much fan service at times and at unnecessary moments(not that big of a deal for me, I usually don't care).
2. Importance of friendship can be over used a lot.
3. Not a lot of deaths(not a big deal to me, but I guess all about personal preference).

Fairy Tail has a unique flavor, that I don't see in any manga. If you can ignore the fan service. Its one of the best things out there.
