[Discussion] Is Fairy Tail Good or Bad?

Is it worth reading the manga or watching the anime of Fairy Tail?

Has it got an overall plot? Good characters etc?

I hear lots of praise for it sometimes and lots of criticism sometimes so.

I'm currently watching it...it depends on your tastes...It's a shounen manga/anime, so it has the whole friendship, don't give up bla bla...It's a nice anime, i don't know about the manga. It's on the same principles as naruto, one piece U_U

If you a fun serious that has comedy and action youll love it. If you want some serious series youll hate it. Even when lives are at stake its not serious but its not overtly silly either. However if you dont like fanservice you will hate it.

Its nice, but the unnecessary fanservice and power of friendship really gets on my nerves. You should watch the anime btw.

I really enjoy every aspect of it to be honest. The anime is apparently coming back soon and I really enjoy the manga and look forward to it more then I do one piece or bleach. So yeah check it out, I think there's a good chance you'll like it.

It is for tasteless morons who will afford their attention to the anime by the mere manifestation of breasts and other fan-service; it has no plot, it is typical shounen trash, but if your IQ is that of an archetypal child, then I would certainly recommend it.​

That's not why it ended, that happened long before anyone knew the anime was going on a break and to this day (and by that I mean the last OVA) lucy's VA is in fact still voicing Lucy, the anime took a break because it was a little more than 10 chapters away from the manga and it was in the middle of an arc, it has also been confirmed a long time ago that the anome is returning
