is fairy tail a good anime?

Not the best anime in terms of story but it is very entertaining with lots of awesome characters.
It's worth watching, however don't expect too much depth!
I still like it though.

Well it starts off good, then gets great. But once you get past 300+ in chapters you'll think it's utter crap. And it shouldn't even be considered.

I don't know about the anime since I only read the manga. But the manga was quite entertaining. It's not the best action Shounen out there but it's still a pretty fun one. Pretty cool fights and the character development isn't bad. It doesn't have a super strong story though, it's less of one big plot or purpose for the characters to follow but more like different stories getting focus for each respective arc. It's pretty similar to One Piece, although it's not quite as good in my opinion.

I'd have to disagree, I honestly think Bleach is pretty average. Bleach at its best is stronger than Fairy Tail for sure, but the middle was really lacking not only as an action Shounen, but as a manga in general. Everything between Soul Society arc and the Thousand Year Blood War arc was pretty awful, the plot was almost nonexistent and the character development was really lacking. Not to mention Fullbring arc was practically a filler in the canon story considering how useless it was overall. I will concede that the beginning of Bleach to Soul Society arc was awesome and that the Thousand Year Blood War arc seems to be getting on track, but the middle was just........bad. Nothing in Fairy Tail was as underwhelming as Bleach's worst.

I don't think Fairy Tail gets that bad later on. I'd definitely say the latest arc is far from Fairy Tail's best, but nothing about it is honestly that terrible to me. The action was pretty good in my opinion and the actual story component of the arc is only starting to kick in about now so I don't think it's fair to say it's quite that bad. Honestly I think Fairy Tail has had worse times before.

I can't tell it's a good Anime, I can tell it's a good manga. I read all chapters from 1 to up to date, and I liked it. you should just read/watch it yourself and see if it's something for you.

You're acting like that wasn't something to be expected from the beginning, typical Fairy Tail (and typical Shounen at that) is that in these type of situations the good guys are gonna win. Laxus beating Jura isn't that big of a surprise, and the description of Erza's Nakagami Armor was obvious hyperbole there to allow for dramatic effect. It's not as if Erza suddenly became the strongest Fairy Tail character with that armor, especially with only like 5 pages to show her doing much of anything with it.

If anything I'd say that the Sasuke montage of battles a while back and a vast majority of the fights in Bleach were even worse asspulls than that, partially because a lot of the matches were set solely because the good guys had an advantage (Sasuke vs Deidara, Byakuya vs Zommari, etc), and the rest allowed for sudden powerups that didn't make any sense. At least with Fairy Tail it was something predictable.

And judging an entire manga based on two fights is ludicrous. That's what, two or three chapters of a series with over 300? It's fair to say that Fairy Tail has some Deus Ex Machina, that's been pretty obvious for a while now. But just because you don't like how those two fights turned out doesn't automatically mean the entire manga is garbage.
