The only thing that Edo Hashi got over Madara is the Shinsuusenju, and that's a huge advantage.

Hashirama possibility has more jutsu's Like the 100 hands due to Sage mode.

No dis Madara is alot stronger than EMS Madara, He's got infinite chakra, He can spamm infinite meteors and PS.

But Hashi got the most op thing ever, even more than Kamui, Shuinsuusenju.

Madara got mastery over the Rinnegan, not anyone can spam Meteors.

Yeah people forget he taught Obito how to master the Rinnegan without the latter even possessing it, who in turn taught Nagato. Madara knows he'd destroy any of Hashiramas clones seeing as though his EMS saw through Hashiramas clones with relative ease, the Rinnegan sees everything, remember when we saw what Nagato was seeing when he solo'd Konoha with Pein?

1 - Madara admitted.
2 - Hashi even sent a CLONE. Meaning a clone would at least be able to entertain for some time.
I think Kishi is hinting that, plus, Hashi is portrayed as being stronger.
