Eat Shit; What a Paradox.

In all honesty, you people won't croak without poop burgers. Unless you are that desperate. But this could open so many local industries.

Just imagine the profits. Regardless, why do you people even eat fast food? It's literally shit already?

Scientists and food supply chains are different things.

I've also seen some of the studies these guys do, and most of the brands that contain 'other than labeled' are brands that most people have never heard of, and not what most people grab off the shelf.

The irony in that study you post is that it confirms quite the opposite trend than what you suggest. Local stores and other small processing/packaging businesses are more likely to use deceptive marketing than larger suppliers. Sushi store can't afford tuna? They'll buy something else and run a special. Massive tuna cannery can't meet quote for tuna? Out-bid your competitors for tuna supply contracts and raise the MSRP of your tuna cans, if necessary (where are your competitors going to get their tuna?)

That said, I can see this being used as an animal feed. It might work out pretty well in that regard.

Though I would still be for treating it to use as fertilizer before processing it as a protein source.

The bad thing is, we already have no true idea of what we are eating. When some new story is revealed about what they've recently found in food, it makes me want to be on a constant diet. It's truly disgusting and we do not really want to know, or?

That's why stories and myths get started about what is in these supply chains.

For example, "Grade D; not fit for human consumption" myths that surround school caffeterias and military bases. No such rating exists - "For Institutional Use Only" exists - but that's a method of packaging to be in compliance with tax laws concerning individually packaged/sold items.

Similarly - we've already seen people apply this line of thinking to this research. "OMG, it's already in use in fast food!"

Myths like these flourish because people feel disconnected and out of touch with the food they eat. Fast Food isn't necessarily good for you - but that doesn't mean it's made out of 'bad' things. Just about anything becomes unhealthy when you throw it in a pit of grease to cook it.
