Do you think Doflamingo is aware that his days are numbered?

If i could describe Doflamingo:

Doflamingo is a sociopath with psychopathic tendencies.
He acts like nothing can shake him yet he does have a dream of becoming pirate king.
He only takes on fights that he is pretty certain to win, he would therefore never challange someone much stronger.
He hides behind his minions and schemes, and that works well for him because up until now no one was able to peel those schemes and minions away one by one.
He seems confident all the time yet i think it's more of the fact that he relies on the world government to help him out/cover for him/cover up/and lie.

Thus his confidence does not come from his own self.

Up until now he must have been laughing at those who were defeated by the strawhats and gloating that they were probably all stupid. and off course it will never happen to him.

He first told Vergo and C.C. to get rid of these stupid little kids(strawhats and law) who aren't worth his time,Plan failed.

Then he sent Buffalo a flying monkeybearhelicopterthingy together with baby 5 to get ceaser,Plan failed.

Then he told monet to blow up Punk hazard as to insure that only ceaser would survive,plan failed.

After that he decided to run along the clouds to Punk Hazard to get rid of these kids himself if they are not stronger then him off course, plan failed.

He then found Smoker there and tried to get information about the damned strawhat and law kids but a stronger opponent appeared so, plan failed.

He lied to the whole world just to get Ceaser back en beat up law,most important part of the plan failed.

He got an ultimatum from Law and decided to entice luffy to enter the Colosseum as to tie him down off course who knows law and luffy might just be to strong together and then he would have to run away, so Sabo appeared,plan failed.

He told his strange art fat(fart) lady to get momonosuke,plan failed.

He even tried to get Momonosuke himself,plan failed.

He sent some panty dressing weirdo to get rid of Bellamy,plan failed.

Even Diamante was told to compete in the Colosseum as to keep the mera mera fruit but keep luffy busy,plan failed.

His next and last plan is Birdcage, a desperate move to restore some dignity and defeat these worthless kids(strawhats and law).

Do you think that Doflamingo is aware of his dire situation or do you think that he is really certain that he will win, or maybe he is worried but not showing it?

I agree for the most part, except that I think he's got a dozen backup plans. Yeah, he's obnoxiously prideful, but it's not like it isn't deserving. He's quite powerful, and nobody can deny that.


I think, like so many of the other antagonists the crew has faced, he's underestimated the hell out of the crew. Add in some unforseen things such as Sabo's returning, and you got a whole clusterfu*k. But I do think DD screwed up in the PH side of things, and had he been smarter and just gone and taken them out himself while he could've he could've avoided the whole Dressrosa stuff. Regardless, he still has the upperhand by far. Not only with the marines there along with an admiral to help, but CP0 is still there. What CP0 is doing we have no ****ing idea, but iirc they are still there. It really isn't the time to worry. If he really wanted to, he could just escape and let the marines take care of the dirty work.

I'm hoping he'll get his ass kicked, but he has quite a few options left.

I love how all of Doffy's "failures" are actually because of other people ****ing up, while Doffy himself has succeeded in everything he himself has personally and directly tangoed with.

And Doffy hides behind the WG? He has powerful ties, why not use them? Having ties to powerful friends and having influence in the world is an asset, it's a good thing. You can't actually make that bad. Or I suppose Sakazuki is also weak or whatever for having the Marine force. Or Dragon is lame for having the Revolutionary forces. Or Luffy is lame for having help to break into Impel Down. Half of the things you are criticizing Doffy for can be found in many other major characters, from overconfidence, to having other forces, to having failed plans. To pick out Doffy is completely useless, even by forum standards.

Won't fight people stronger than him? He was delighted at the idea of warring with Whitebeard and thought it was great when Teach showed up. Doffy expresses fear for one person above him, and he's suddenly scared? He's defied the World Government and, as mentioned before, openly stole money from the most powerful figures in the entire One Piece and got everything he wanted from it.
